Golden gate views - never mind the vista point

While the multi nationals crowd the official stop and photo opp, the road leading lower north east side of the bridge offers a casual waterfront walk and lunch opportunity.

Parking no probs, and the serenity .... Ah yes

OOPs! Looks like a get to spend one more day in Germany!

I changed my flight incorrectly and have arrived at the airport one day early!

After staying more night in Frankfurt with Catherine from CS I awoke to the snow covered city once more. The night prior I arrived to help with the last of some light fitting (in Germany a vacant apartment has no light fittings).... We also headed out to the area in the south of the city for dinner in a trendy italian place for a tasty and very affordable tortellini..... beers and desert after.

It was an early, but well orchestrated transit executed with great accuracy and minutes to spare... return the car, hop on the bus, arrive at the airport ... try to check in and OOPS.

New York - got in last night and CS has provided a great place for me to stay

Couple of days of fun and adventure before departing for the drive to Miami!

But first there is so much to see here in NY, that I have hardly bothered.... Emp state building, the stock exchange, Ground Zero and then uptown for an "open mic night" at the Gael Pub on 3rd Ave. Great day out and about in the thriving city.

Interestingly, the city is quite for traffic as NY'ers leave town - leaving it for the massive influx of tourists that come here for New Years celebration. FRiends of mine talked themselves through 4 check points to get into Time Sq for new years - its was packed! apparently.
